Walk For Wags – August 16, 2020
A salute to our Military Working War Dogs - Canceled

The decision to cancel the August 16th Humane Society of Portage County's "Walk For Wags 2020" (Pfiffner Pioneer Park) was tough, but a necessary one since pandemic restrictions made the event no longer viable. We are comforted knowing our Portage County community and those scheduled to travel to our event are not being put in harm's way with the novel coronavirus.

We want to do a special shout out to our "2020 Walk For Wags" sponsors and all participants who signed up for the Walk. Team Schierl Companies, TDS, Kessler and Greer Law Office, High Ground of WI, Fleet Farm, VFW Post 10262, Donaldson Company, "Stubby the Dog Soldier" author Blake Hoena, "Cycling Without Age", Caricatures by Joey, Portage County Veteran Services and Don Burling. They are walking the walk of supporting all animals at The Humane Society of Portage County. Please pencil us in for June 27, 2021 - we will be honoring the heroic military working war dogs who fought along with our troops.

If you have any questions please contact Sherri at the shelter (715)344-6012;
