For urgent animal control related issues, to get help with a stray animal in your possession, or to report urgent animal related problems, call the Portage County Dispatch Center non-emergency phone number 715-346-1400 and ask to be transferred to a Humane Officer.
For non-urgent animal control related issues including animal reclaims, call the Humane Society at 715-344-6012 extension 305.
As a public shelter we ask you to delay your visit until the health crisis is over. In order to protect the health of our volunteers, staff and community, we ask that you visit us only if you have an adoption, reclaim or surrender appointment. Call 715-344-6012 to make an appointment.
