Lead Dog Volunteer Guidelines

Lead Dog volunteer hours are a scheduled shift from 6pm to 8pm Monday through Friday

*At this time, we will only be allowing one lead dog volunteer per day

 

Lead Dog Volunteers will be able to:

• Get dogs out of their kennels for potty walks and time outside
• Get dogs out of their kennels to enjoy inside playtime
• Work on Basic Obedience Skills with the dogs
• Work on Leash Manners with the dogs
• Take pictures/videos of adoptable dogs while enjoying time out of their kennel to help promote them on Facebook
• Use items from the Behavior and Enrichment cabinet for the dogs to have fun
• Changing blankets in kennels if soiled or wet; dirty laundry should be taken into the Laundry Room
