Pawty in the Park - June 21

The Humane Society and Team Schierl Companies will host Pawty in the park, a community event for animals to benefit the Humane Society. The event will be held at Pfiffner Park on Sunday, June 21 from 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m.

Pawty in the Park is an expanded version of the Humane Society's annual Walk for the Animals. In addition to a 1.5 mile walk along the Wisconsin River banks, the event will include a pet fashion show and costume contest, a microchip clinic, a doggie bakery and agility demonstrations. Families will also enjoy food, beverages and entertainment by Zman DJ.

Participants are encouraged to bring their leashed dogs current on vaccinations. Those with a creative bent will have the opportunity to create a paw print stepping stone or a memorable canvassed artwork with their dog. Dog baths will be available for after-art clean-up.

Registration for the walk begins at 11:00 a.m. Those choosing to participate in the walk, either with or without a dog, will collect pledges prior to the event; by collecting $25.00 or more, walk participants will receive an event t-shirt. Prizes, including a year's supply of Canidea dog food, will be awarded for top pledges raised.
